I'm going to be late today.  I have to run to the Dentist to get a new filling that fell out last night and hurts pretty bad... yeah... I should be back around 3rd period.

1st Period -- Mitch and Ally, do you think you can do digital portfolios w/ Ms. Vogt's class?  Should be simple, if you can't let me know and I'll email Ms. Vogt quickly.

2nd Period -- Make sure the Help Desk doesn't burn down.

Hey guys!

You should be getting used to this kind of thing now, but it's never fun.  I was expecting to come back today and regale you with stories of adventure and craziness, but my little fella got a case of something either on the trip or on the plane back and needs his father for the day.

I'm not belittling the fact that you need me too, it's just that... I know you guys can take care of yourselves.  Today I will be about 95% available to you with questions and whatnot.  I turned off my vacation responder and whatnot.  So I'll be around and answering questions.  I'll also send you guys a random message with something to do.

That being said... I heard you did an amazing job with the tech visit and were very good for the sub.  I can't stress enough how much I love having you guys in class so I don't have to worry about anything while I'm not there.  You are some remarkable kids.  Thanks again.

Akelman's Gone Blog Post 3/10 and 3/11

Hey guys,

You know I'm gone...  Here's the stuff that you need to know.

All information on the Tech visit is listed on the board.  Make sure you follow directions.  Your job during the tours is to get people to ask questions and to answer them.  You need to represent Mooresville.  You should be professional and courteous.  Hold doors open, be nice, and don't get too excited.  You'll be great.

For Friday, you should use the opportunity to get your work done.  Look at your grades.  Fix them.  E-mail me when they are fixed.

So you have a few things planned for the next two days.  First and foremost I want to remind you that you need to make sure students are taken care of with their issues.  I will be available to answer questions, but it may take a minute because it'll take while to respond.  Listen to Frank and get your stuff done.  Speaking of which:

1st Period
Ally -- You need to finish up the ticket thing.  Also you need to make sure the fellas take care of the Help Desk stuff by running tickets and whatnot.  You need to also work on the In the News Thing. Don't forget to do your Genius Hour Blog.
Robert -- You need to finish your Zeitgeist project.  Make sure it's put in your folder in Drive so I can check it.  When you're done.  Work on the In the News thing.  If you finish early, that's an if... You should start on the typing challenge.  Don't forget your Genius Hour Blog.
Mitch -- Do what you normally do.  Finish the in the News Thing.  Finish your Blog.  And Help Robert with learning how to use Google Drive properly.
Josh -- Don't let anyone eat any of those peppers.  Do what you normally do.  Do the In the News Thing.  Do you blog.  Share your tentative Google Drive thing for your research paper.

2nd Period
Rebecca -- Make sure the boys don't burn down the Help Desk.  Man the station in my stead.

Make sure the Help Desk is good.  Finish editing your videos they are due on Friday.  Do your blog.  Do your genius hour blog etc.
